Black Canary might lack Sindel's millenniums of experience, but she's one of the DC universe's best martial artists and has even tangled with Superman in hand-to-hand combat (in the Injustice-verse). Black Canary also is not nearly as arrogant as Sindel, and is a trained psychologist in certain continuities, so she would have the edge in strategy and being able to push Sindel's buttons. Sindel also has never faced anyone else who can use soundwave attacks while Black Canary has on multiple occasions. In terms of physical capabilities, Sindel might be able to fly, but Black Canary's speed and reflexes blow Sindel's out of the water. Black Canary has dodged gunfire and even took on Black Alice, who stole Shazam's speed powers which could rival Superman, Dr. Fate and Wonder Woman. Sindel has shown no such speed feats. However, Sindel does has the edge in strength and durability, having taken hits from Shao Kahn's Wrathhammer and pierced through Cyber Sub-Zero's plating.

I could feel everything that was going on in that movie. At around the 30 minutes right when one of the Oms were opening a box and laughing hysterically, thats is where my trip was about to go into danger zone. The people in that movie started to look grotese and I knew where my mind was going I cut that movie off and quickly turned on some Erykah Badu.

Kavaïté a cela dit mis les bouchées doubles puisqu'en plus de ce Summer, elle a co-scénarisé le prochain Lucile Hadzihalilovic, Evolution. Le scénario n'est pourtant pas nécessairement le point fort de Summer. Son histoire d'éveil sentimental lesbien est assez classique, avec son opposition archétypale entre la fille réservée et l'autre plus exubérante, ce creux de l'été propice aux expériences et ces questionnements adolescents. Le parcours de l'héroïne suit des rails un peu sages pour ceux qui auront déjà vu quelques films sur le sujet (mais son traitement simple et doux peut en faire un film idéal pour des plus jeunes spectateurs).
